What the belt walk cannot do

Somebody walks beside a running conveyor, in hearing protection, trying to hear a bad roller.

02It hears only late-stage damage

By the time a roller is audible from the walkway, most of its life is gone.

03It misses what fails between walks

A roller that starts to go the day after a walk runs unwatched until the next one.

How it works

Sensor nodes clamp to the stringer and listen for structure-borne ultrasonics and vibration. One cable carries power and data to a controller at the end of the section. The controller keeps the raw recordings and sends the numbers to your server.

Nodes on the stringer

Four measurements per node: ultrasonic, vibration, audio and temperature. Steel-to-steel coupling through a magnetic clamp; no drilling, no change to the roller or the frame. Designed to meet IP67.

Controller

One per conveyor section. Powers the nodes, runs the measurements, stores every waveform locally and sends results over LTE-M. No connection to site IT or OT.

Your server

A server in Australia for your site alone, or a machine on your premises. Triage list, trends, alerts by SMS and email, and playback of any recording.

Three grades, per zone

A zone is the few frames either side of a node. Each zone is graded against its own baseline, so a section that has always been noisy is not flagged for being noisy, only for changing. Rate of change counts as much as level.

24/7 monitoring of every zone on the section, not a walk every few weeks. Rollers that would have failed between walks are seen changing.

Standalone

Independent of site IT and OT. Own power, own link, own server. No change to the asset, no software on your network.

Modular

Install on a short section to start, then chain sections together. Nodes are added along the same cable.

Pilot on one section of one conveyor

About three months. We monitor and report; the pilot is scored against KPIs agreed with you at scoping, in your numbers. Founding pilots are under way in Western Australia; places for the next round are limited.
